I stumbled upon phpDesigner, and to my delightment, it's an amazing PHP IDE!

I have been programming solid now for over 6 years in PHP 4.x and 5.x, and the best editor I could find for the job has always been Crimson Editor. After taking a few hours off a couple of days ago, I decided it was time to do a search to see what other PHP based programming IDE were now available after using Crimson for more than 2 years straight. To my surprise, there are now many, many different IDE's now available that can and do work specifically with PHP 4 and 5... Problem is, none of them are really all that great, especially for the price you have to pay for a few of them.

Then I stumbled upon phpDesigner, and to my delightment, it was and is an amazing PHP programming tool and IDE! It has all of the features that Crimson Editor has that I fell in love with, plus so much more, it is now my new PHP development tool for all of my PHP programming needs! And well... You cannot beat the price either! If you have not yet tried this software, you are truly missing out... Get it now, and see the light at the end of your programming tunnel!

1. it is light (loads fast!)
2. great "live syntax check"
3. excellent feature - "inactive code highlight" - remove unused code
4. accurate "auto complete" functionalities
5. interface is intuitive and easy to learn
6. "HTML tidy" (and other HTML/XHTML functions) saves time
7. ...and lots of other functionalities!

I do not know how I found phpDesigner but I am so happy that I did. I tried many other IDE/editors but there were always missing some features. When I first started using phpDesigner I liked the cool looking and well designed user interface. Everything is placed where it should be.

I have used and tested more then 20 different IDE/editors, some do not have enough features, and the ones that have too many features are useless.

phpDesigner, was perfect for me, it has so many options that I needed but couldn't find one with the features that I had to have. The built in debugger/live preview, indentations, auto-complete, features to add manuals, and it was perfect use with XAMPP. I have not even used everything in it yet because there is so much, and all of them I need. The project managers, code templates, built in ftp, is great. I would have to say, this is the overall best IDE/editor I have ever used, and I will definitely keep using it.

Found what I have wanted at last! I have been looking for a program like this for years. I even bought Frontpage because I thought it had what I wanted. Now, I know I wasted my money.

All the XHTML/CSS text editors I have downloaded (shareware and freeware) are low-life compared to phpDesigner! The colour scheme is great; clear text, easy menus, and intuitive layout. Thanks so much!

Wow! Just, wow! I had been coding in Notepad for a long, long time. It was hell, and I never really got into PHP until I found phpDesigner. Oh my God, I was release from the hell that was Notepad. phpDesigner is absolutely perfect!  It has everything I wanted and more but not too much. All IDE/editors I used/tried before had too much weird useless options. This one has loads of options, but optional. I always wanted a color IDE with project option. This is perfect and anything it does, you can either enable or disable!
